Symbolically adopt one of our Jamaican Fruit Bats in honor of a baddie in your life, to celebrate your Halloween-obsessed friends, or give a fun and unique gift to an animal or bat lover. Don’t forget to tell us the name of you’re “baddie” so we can add it to the Adoption Certificate!
The Valley Zoo Development Society’s Adopt an Animal program inspires people to improve and enrich the lives of the animals in the Edmonton Valley Zoo’s care. Adopting a Jamaican Fruit Bat provides vital funding for improved habitats and enrichment materials at the Edmonton Valley Zoo. Absolutely anyone can become an Adopt an Animal parent and help to cultivate the nurturing environment and inspiration our animals deserve. Proceeds from this this Adopt an Animal Special help improve habitats and enrichment materials at the Edmonton Valley Zoo.
With the $75 Adopt An Animal Halloween Special, you’ll receive the following**:
- A Plush Bat
- An Adoption Certificate with Your Chosen Name
- A Halloween-themed Jamacian Fruit Bat Fact Sheet
- An Invitation for TWO to the 2025 Annual Adopt An Animal Tea
- Optional Tax Reciept (Canada Only)
- Everything comes neatly packaged in a reusable box
Optionally, you can turn this Adoption Package into a full zoo experience by adding:
- A Zootique Store Gift Card of $25, $50 or $100 for purchases in the Zootique Store.
- A Zoo Day Pass or Annual Pass for a child, individual, or family.
- Increase the total amount of your donation, and receive a tax receipt for the total donated amount.**
** A tax receipt of $55.00 is issued with this package. Gift card and zoo pass purchases are not eligible for tax receipts; if you add these options, the tax receipt will be issued for the donation amount only. Tax receipts are sent out shortly after the Adopt An Animal package is shipped.
