Choose this amazing experiences and get a zookeeper-led, behind-the-scenes look at some of your favourite zoo animals, Red Pandas! These educational and fun Zoobuilder Programs give you an exclusive, 60-minute experience where you’ll join a zookeeper for a behind-the-scenes look at the red pandas and their world. Immerse yourself in the natural behaviors of these adorable creatures as they climb, play, and interact with specially designed enrichment activities. Work alongside our zookeepers to enrich the lives of our red pandas and learn about the vital conservation efforts in place to protect this endangered species. Program Information
- Number of Guests: This experience is for a maximum of 2 people.
- Experience Length: 60 minutes.
- Available Dates and Times: Red Panda Zoobuilder Programs are scheduled on Saturdays from 1:30 to 2:30 pm.
Please select 3 Saturdays that could work for you. We require a minimum of four weeks’ advance notice of your preferred dates to ensure a zookeeper is available to lead your experience.
Allergies & Special Requests
- Allergies: Please list any allergies you feel we should be aware of so we can better accommodate you during your visit. We want to ensure your encounter is safe and enjoyable.
- Special Requests: If you have any special requests (such as planning a proposal or birthday surprise), please let us know! While we can’t grant every request, we will do our best to make your dream a reality.
Rules & Policies
The safety of our animals, guests, and staff is paramount, therefore the following rules and protocols are in place: [
- Animal Interaction: During the experience, all zookeeper directions must be followed at all times. No touching or petting of animals is permitted during the encounter. Each experience will be unique as weather, enrichment items, and other factors can affect animal behaviors.
- Health & Safety: All participants must be at least 8 years old. Please inform us in advance if anyone in your group has any medical conditions, allergies, or physical restrictions. Each guest must wear a mask throughout the duration of the experience. Participants must wear comfortable, closed-toed shoes suitable for walking on uneven terrain. For the safety of both guests and animals, the zoo reserves the right to refuse entry if participants are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Photography & Video: Photography is allowed with personal devices and equipment only. Flash photography is not permitted as it disturbs the animals.
- Weather: Zoobuilders occur rain or shine. However, in the case of extreme weather conditions, we may reschedule or cancel your encounter for safety reasons.
- Respect for the Animals: Please remember that our red pandas are wild animals. Guests must respect their space and behavior. The zoo staff reserves the right to end the encounter at any time if they feel that the safety or well-being of the animals or guests is compromised.
Tax Receipts
For your donation of $250.00 through the Zoobuilder 2 Person Red Panda Encounter, you will receive a tax receipt for $150.00.
