What is Zoobrew?
Zoobrew is the Valley Zoo Development Society’s signature after-hours, adults-only beer festival — and one of Edmonton’s most unique and fastest-growing summer events. Held at the Edmonton Valley Zoo, Zoobrew invites guests (ages 18+) to explore the zoo after hours with a drink in hand, immersing themselves in an unforgettable evening of craft beverages, live music, animal encounters, and community spirit.
Now heading into its 9th year, Zoobrew is expanding with three nights of festivities in 2026 — Saturday, June 20; Saturday, July 18; and Friday, August 21—welcoming more than 5,400 attendees across the summer. Guests and vendors alike get to enjoy a unique mix of conservation, community, and cocktails, all under the stars.
Who organizes Zoobrew?
Zoobrew is presented by The Valley Zoo Development Society, a registered charity and not-for-profit that acts in partnership with the City of Edmonton to ensure the continued development of the beloved Edmonton Valley Zoo, and its education and conservation programs.
How many people attend Zoobrew?
Zoobrew regularly draws in between 1,600-1,800 guests per night, including craft beer enthusiasts, animal lovers, and community-minded young professionals. The audience is highly engaged and excited to support local businesses that give back.
How does a Sponsor Brewery or Distillery participate?
This means that 100% of your proceeds go toward revitalizing the Edmonton Valley Zoo, helping support animal care, conservation, education, and guest experience.

Is there a fee to participate?
No. Participation is free for breweries and distilleries who donate 100% of their proceeds to the Valley Zoo Development Society.

Will guests know we’re donating 100% of proceeds?
Yes! We highlight generous sponsors like you on our website, event signage, and in the event guide. Your impact will not go unnoticed.
What are our options for recognition or tax benefits?
You can choose one of two options:
OPTION A: RECOGNITION
- Online feature on the Zoobrew event webpage
- On-site thank you sign
- Ability to hang up sponsor banner at your booth
- Year-round name display on the donor blocks at the Edmonton Valley Zoo
OPTION B: CHARITABLE TAX RECIEPT
If you prefer, you can opt out of the promotional perks and receive a charitable tax receipt for 100% of the value of your donated product, based on your submitted invoice or final ticket count (whichever is higher). Due to the strict rules surrounding recognition and tax receipts with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), Sponsors can only select either Recognition OR a Charitable Tax Receipt.
