Slide that says "Exploring Natrual Events and Processes, Grade 3 class - St Vincent School
Slide that describes the purpose of the project as "Our class is learning about natural events and how they shape the earth. Examples of natrual events are erosion, avalanches, wildfires and weathering. These events can happen slowly over time or fast. Natural events can affect human and animal life.
The project stages are Stage 1 - research an event with our group Stage 2 - planned and implemented an experiment to simulate our natural event and Stage 3 - Used our research to answer the question "How do natural events effect human and animal life? Photos show students at laptops, students using flour and salt in a box, students filling water bottles, and students drawing on paper.
This photo lists 4 posters created by students. One explaining an Avalanche, one explaining wildfires, one explaining erosion and one explaining weathering.
Photos show students experiments, including avalanche being simulated by rocks in flour. Playdough being rinsed in water to explain erosion, sugar cubes in a jar to show erosion.

Exploring Natural Events and Processes:

Our Grade 3 class is learning about natural events and how they shape the earth. Examples of natural events are erosion, avalanches, wildfires and weathering. These events can happen slowly over time or fast.

Natural events can affect human and animal life. We researched a natural event our process with our group. Planned and implemented an experiment to simulate our natural event. Used our research to answer the question - How do natural events affect human and animal life?

We learned that some natural events can negatively affect humans, animals and plants. As a class we discussed what humans can do to help preserve the environment by preventing or slowing down natural events like wildfires and erosion.
